Tax deductions?




I soon will be operating as a independent contractor besides a CPA where can I look for tax deductions I am entitled too. Also what software do you recommend for personal bookkeeping? Thanx from California.
For the first answerer read the question, Besides finding the answer from a CPA where else can I look?

    You’re a CPA and don’t know what tax deductions your eligible for and need help with personal bookkeeping??? That scares me.

    To do it your self you will need to know IRS and your states tax code. This is not an easy task. Best to pay a professional tax account to guide you in this matter.

    Your deductions are all business expenses, reported in Schedule C.

    Basic accounting software can be Money or QuickBooks. for personal budgeting, a lot of people use Quicken, but it is not accounting software. I use DacEasy Accounting, which can handle any small business. Peachtree is similar to DacEasy.
