How much tax should I be paying?

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Calling all Accountants!!!! Sorry new to the US and not sure how the taxes work here.

Me and my wife file as ‘Married Filing Jointly’ with one deduction each. Our 2008 taxable income is around a combined $94,000, 47k each. for 2009 it will probably be around $100,000. Anyone know how much tax I should have withheld each paycheck?

I Fear because our 2007 income was around 45k that we will owe alot after we file and dont want to end up in the same boat again.

Thanks,

Why does the Left hate the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth?

Friday, September 18th, 2009

President Bush withdrew the nomination of St. Louis businessman Sam Fox to be ambassador to Belgium after Democrats denounced Fox for his 2004 donation to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

The group’s TV ads, which claimed that Kerry, D-Mass., exaggerated his military record in Vietnam, were viewed as a major factor in Kerry losing the election.

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

Can a big purchase item such as a car or a boat, or the interest paid on the loan used to purchase it, be used as a tax deduction?

Boat tours for donation?

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Can I offer rides for people on my personal 26′ foot Bayliner and only accept donation. Would I be responsible for anyone that got hurt on board. What if I had them sign a waiver?
